People, Places & Things

NEW DATES: FEB 11 - MAR 5

New York Times Critic’s Pick! Boasting critically acclaimed, sold-out runs in both London and New York, People, Places & Things is an exhilarating new play about surviving in the modern world. The story focuses on Emma, a thirty-something actress who thinks she is having the time of her life, until she finds herself in rehab.  Her first step is to admit that she has a problem. But the problem isn’t with Emma; it’s with everyone else. And when intoxication feels like the only way to survive, how can she ever sober up? From award-winning playwright Duncan Macmillan (1984LungsEvery Brilliant Thing), comes this mesmerizing trip into addiction, rehab, and identity.

Due to the recent surge in COVID cases, and out of deep concern for our community, SpeakEasy Stage Company has decided to delay the opening of People, Places & Things. The show, originally set to run Jan. 7 – Feb. 5, will now run from Feb. 11 – Mar. 5, 2022.

The BostonTheatreScene ticketing office will be calling all ticket holders over the next few weeks to help you reschedule a new date. Additionally, new tickets will be distributed over the course of the month using the same delivery method you originally requested.

Please feel free to contact SpeakEasy Marketing Director Jim Torres at 617-482-3279 or at JimTorres@SpeakEasyStage.com with any questions. We look forward to sharing this amazing production with you soon.
