Because ticket sales only account for about 50% of our income, we depend on the generosity of our donors and corporate supporters to ensure the stability and longevity of our productions and programming. Donations of any size really do make a difference, and go directly towards furthering our mission of bringing the best new plays to Boston!

Individual Giving

For the last 26 seasons, we have kept vibrant, high-quality theatre thriving in Greater Boston and have made Boston’s South End neighborhood into an artistic and cultural destination. We provide jobs for hundreds of locally-based artists, actors, designers, directors, and technicians each year, and we train early career artists through our fellowship and internship programs, supporting them as they develop their potential. Our Elliot Norton and IRNE award-winning productions create conversations among audience members that continue long after they leave the theater — challenging, connecting, and inspiring our community.

We need your support to make this happen! Tickets and subscriptions do not cover all the costs associated with operating a professional theatre company in Boston. As a non-profit organization, SpeakEasy Stage Company relies on the support of its community audience to sustain the high quality productions you see on our stage. Your gift will help us continue creating conversations and producing high quality theatre year after year.

Thank you for your support!

Great news! Our Board of Directors and Board of Overseers have issued a CHALLENGE to the SpeakEasy community – they will match every donation made to SpeakEasy before June 30, 2017 up to $15,000. That means if you make a donation – at any level – before the end of the month, you can DOUBLE your impact!

SpeakEasy Stage Company is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. No goods or services are provided in exchange for your donation.

Producers Circle

Members of the Producers Circle at SpeakEasy Stage Company join because they love what they see on our stage. Because they believe in supporting the work of local actors, directors, designers and writers. Because they’re moved by the message of a particular play or musical and want to see it soar. Because they believe in the power of theatre to transform our lives.
