From talkbacks to artists forums to Pay-What-You-Can evenings, this September is full of special events around SpeakEasy’s production of Far From Heaven!

Following the 7:30pm performance on Thursday, September 18th, SpeakEasy will host a post-show talkback with Broadway Lyricist Michael Korie, where we will discuss the process of bringing this show to life.

In addition, SpeakEasy holds a number of recurring events around each of our productions; read their descriptions and dates below, or head over to our Full Events Calendar page to see when everything happens!

Types of Recurring Events:

PAY WHAT YOU CAN: Special performances geared towards letting everyone see the production, even if they can’t afford a regular ticket. All Pay What You Can performances have a $15 minimum ticket price, and tickets must be bought in person at the box office.
Far From Heaven Dates: Saturday, 9/13 at 4pm.

DIRECTOR’S NOTES: A pre-show discussion with director Scott Edmiston, focusing on the themes of Far From Heaven and the process of the production.
Far From Heaven Dates: Wednesdays, September 17th and 24th, at 6:30pm

ARTISTS’ FORUM: Participate in a talkback after the performance, featuring actors and other artists from the show.
Far From Heaven Dates: Sundays, September 14th, 21st, 29th and October 5th, after the 3pm performances.

AUDIENCE DISCUSSION: Join us for a post-show conversation about the themes and ideas of the play, led by members of the SpeakEasy Staff.
Far From Heaven Dates: Thursday, September 18th & 25th, October 2nd and 9th, after the 7:30pm performances.

OUT AND ABOUT NIGHT: Stay after the performance for a post-show party with members of the cast.
