George Watsky

A native of San Francisco, poet and playwright George Watsky has performed his work on HBO (Russell Simmons presents Def Poetry), on FOX (NAACP Image Awards), on BET and the Sundance Channel. A Youth Speaks Grand Slam Poetry champion and Brave New Voices National Poetry Slam champion, he has been featured at venues across the country and Australia, including the Apollo Theater, the Kennedy Center, and the San Francisco Opera House, and has shared the stage with, among others, Robert Redford, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, and former President Bill Clinton.

Watsky's first solo show, 'So Many Levels,' was workshopped in New York City at the Hip Hop Theater Festival Critical Breaks series, and was performed additionally in San Francisco, Boston and Vermont. He co-wrote and played Dante in the Living Word Theater Festival's adaptation of 'Dante's Divine Comedy' at the San Francisco Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. His stage play 'Harold's Fall or King Will' was produced in 2009 as the recipient of the Rod Parker playwriting fellowship at Emerson College, where Watsky is a senior playwriting and acting major. Performance credits include Emerson Stage's 'Much Ado About Nothing,' SF New Conservatory Theater Center's 'Grass Harp,' and ACT Young Conservatory's 'Shed a Little Light.'

Jim Fagan

Jim Fagan is the Artistic Associate at SpeakEasy Stage Company. He also teaches youth acting at Apollinaire Theater, and is a regular cast member of Improv Boston's Friday Night Face-Off (www.improvboston.com). Other Local Directing Credits include Assasins (Curtain Call Theater), The New Century (Asst. / SpeakEasy Stage), Missed Exit (Boston Theater Marathon), A Midsummer Night's Dream and Bat Boy: The Musical (Babson College), and Art (Boston College). This spring, Jim will be returning to Babson College to direct The Wedding Singer and will again be assisting Paul Daigneault on SpeakEasy's Great American Trailer Park Musical. Jim is a proud alumnus of Boston College.
